My Favorite Childhood Pie

For the pastry dough : 

  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 1 cup water (about 150 ml)
  • 100g butter
  • 1 pinch of salt
For the filling : 

  • 250g fromage blanc
  • 90g Banania
  • 2 eggs
  • 5 bananas
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon sugar


  1. Start by preheating the oven to 200°C (thermostat 7).
  2. In a saucepan, heat the water, salt and butter. When the butter is melted, remove from heat, pour in the flour, and mix well.
  3. Place the dough in a buttered cake tin, smoothing it out with your fingertips to obtain a flat surface.
  4. In a large bowl, mix the fromage blanc with the sugar and the Banania.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking steadily to obtain a smooth cream. Spread the cream out over the dough.
  6. Peel the bananas, cut them into slices and arrange them on top of the chocolate cream.
  7. Sprinkle the pie with cinnamon sugar and bake for about 30 minutes.
  8. Enjoy the pie while still warm.
